What are the application deadlines for the 2023-25 intake?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The call for the 2023\u20132025 intake applications will is open from\u00a0<\/strong>November 2022 until the 31st of January 2023<\/strong>\u00a0(23:59 CET) for the\u00a0EMJMD scholarship applicants and by\u00a030th April 2023<\/strong>\u00a0(23:59 CET) for self-paid applicants.\u00a0The application fee is 690 CZK (approx. 27 \u20ac)<\/strong>.\u00a0The application fee\u00a0is compulsory<\/b>\u00a0for all applicants.\u00a0No exceptions<\/b>\u00a0are possible.<\/p>\n

When will admission results be communicated?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

When does the Program start?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Program generally starts in the first half of September.<\/p>\n

When should I arrive in Olomouc? What happens if I miss the beginning of the Program?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

There is an obligatory Orientation Week one week before the first semester starts. You will find all the important dates in the academic calendar and in the information package. We strongly advise you to make all the arrangements to arrive in Olomouc at least a few days before the start of the Program (i.e. before the start of Orientation Week).<\/p>\n

Admission Requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Do I have to pay the application fee in case I am applying for the EMJMD scholarship? Is there any exception?<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The application fee is 690 CZK (approx. 27 \u20ac)<\/strong>.\u00a0The application fee\u00a0is compulsory<\/b>\u00a0for all applicants.\u00a0No exceptions<\/b> are possible. Please do not contact us regarding this.<\/p>\n

How to pay for the application? Do you need to have a Czech bank account? Do I have to pay in CZK?<\/i><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The smoothest way to pay the application fee is by paying with a debit\/credit card – <\/span>you do not need to have an account in CZK<\/b> – just follow the instructions in the \u201cpayment gate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Do I have to submit hard copies of the documents?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The documents related to the GLODEP application are submitted electronically with your e-application<\/a>. No hard copies are required. \u00a0Please note that after clicking on the submit button, it will no longer be possible to change the uploaded documents.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Which academic backgrounds are eligible?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

You are eligible to apply if you have completed at least a bachelor’s degree. At the same time, you have to certify your bachelor’s degree before enrolment to the program (beginning of September). While the program is open to applicants from diverse disciplinary backgrounds, knowledge, and experience, a suitable applicant typically has excellent academic results in a relevant degree (e.g. development studies, economics, geography, international relations, and sociology); strong interest in international development with aspirations to work in the area related to development policy; very good command of English.<\/p>\n

Can I apply for GLODEP if I have not finished my bachelor degree yet?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Which English language certificates are acceptable?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

How can I apply for GLODEP?<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The call for the 2023\u20132025 intake applications is open from 1st November 2022 until 31st January 2023 for the EMJMD scholarship applicants and 30th<\/sup> April 2023 (23:59 CET) for self-paid<\/strong> applicants. The application fee is 690 CZK (approx. 26 \u20ac). We recommend you avoid last-minute applications due to the risk of an online application system slowdown. Please note that after clicking on the submit button, it will no longer be possible to change the uploaded documents.<\/span><\/p>\n
