Palacky University Olomouc<\/a>, Czech Republic<\/h3>\n

Palacky University in Olomouc, the Coordinating Institution, is the second oldest university in the Czech Republic (founded in 1573) and educates almost 22 000 students at 8 faculties. The Department of Development &\u00a0Environmental Studies\u00a0<\/a>(located in the\u00a0Faculty of Science<\/a>) is involved in the GLODEP master and offers the International Development Studies program at bachelor, master and doctoral level. Thus is the flagship university of development studies in Central and Eastern Europe. All programs are taught in Czech and the master program is also taught in English. The department is very active in international cooperation (e.g. student and staff exchanges with about 25 universities within the Erasmus+ program). In 2015 the department began the publication of the journal\u00a0Development, Environment and Foresight<\/a>.<\/p>\n
