Simona \u0160afa\u0159\u00edkov\u00e1 (Palacky University)<\/h4>\nSimona \u0160afa\u0159\u00edkov\u00e1<\/a>\u00a0focuses on development opportunities in different regions of Asia. She also teaches qualitative research methods and is involved in global education. She joined the\u00a0Department of Development &\u00a0Environmental Studies in 2008. In the first semester of GLODEP at Palacky University she is involved in the teaching of Development Geography and Research Methods in Development. Her research interests are the role of sport in development and the impact of physical activities on solutions to development problems. Simona has published several academic articles in the field of sport and development. She has experience from several research and teaching stays abroad (e.g. Mexico, Colombia, South Africa, Mongolia, France).<\/p>\n Lenka Du\u0161kov\u00e1<\/a> has been working at the Department of Development and Environmental Studies since 13 years. She focuses on issues of \u201c<\/span>conflict sensitive development<\/i><\/span>\u201d and the use of mediation and facilitation techniques in project management in transforming and\/or post-conflict regions. She is a lecturer of courses: Security, Conflict and Development; Politico-geographical Processes in Developing Regions (good-governance), Qualitative Research Methods and Development Theories. Recently, she has done research on impacts of civil society organisations in Bosnia and Herzegovina; community development in Central and Eastern Europe and Balkans. She also worked on internal evaluation of Czech project “Football for Development”. Besides the university, s<\/span>he is\u00a0<\/span>engaged in\u00a0<\/span>cultural sensitivity and conflict transformation<\/span>\u00a0trainings<\/span>\u00a0and consultancy and<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>non-formal education of youth<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>In\u00a0<\/span>her work<\/span>\u00a0she emphasises the active participation and use of\u00a0<\/span>dialogue<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n Pascale Combes<\/a> Motel has been a full Professor at the School of Economics since 1999. She is also a co-head of the Master Degree Sustainable Development in Developing and Transition Economies and a researcher for\u00a0CERDI<\/a>\u00a0(Centre for Studies and Research on International Development). Her research interests are sustainable development economics, tropical deforestation and protected areas.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Maria\u00a0Sassi<\/a> is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Pavia, where she teaches Food Economics and Agricultural Development, and Quantitative Policy Analysis for Development. She is a member of the Scientific Board of the Master program in Cooperation and Development organised by the\u00a0IUSS<\/a>\u00a0and the University of Pavia. She is\u00a0NOHA<\/a>\u00a0director for the University of Pavia. She is Vice-President of the\u00a0Centre for International Cooperation and Development of the University of Pavia<\/a>.\u00a0She has taken part in several international research projects, supported by the EU and international organizations, such as the FAO and the UNDP, and published articles, mainly focused on food security issues in Sub-Saharan Africa, in international journals.<\/p>\n The Board of Directors determines the main direction of the program operation and development.
